The police use alarm solutions and data and speech recording systems from VOXTRONIC in order to
- document and archive deployments
- record data and conversations as reliable evidence
- increase controllers' productivity
- train controllers and patrollers
- enable them to automatically put out alerts and provide information
Solutions from VOXTRONIC have been in daily use with the police for a long time. Thanks to the close co-operation we have established with control centres and mobile units we have a very precise understanding of the operational requirements for recording of data and conversations. This knowledge and the fact that we are independent of the manufacturers make it possible for us to be able to offer you breakdown-proof, simple-to-operate, and enormously high-performance systems, and to for these to still be cost-effective.
The VOXTRONIC documentation solution has made itself indispensable in many areas of police work. This begins with complete deployment documentation: from the moment the deployment starts to the moment it ends. The digital recording of emergency calls stores all call and connection data and then links it to the deployment number (ELR data), and optionally also with the relevant screen input. Integration into the existing information and telecommunication landscape, into the operations control system and GIS (Graphic Information System) is seamless and harmonious. Our open systems architecture not only guarantees your connection to what already exists, but also to what is on its way. Within the next five or ten years the amount of information, as well as the types of information, relayed from emergency vehicles and from buildings to a control centre will drastically increase: from multimedia short messages to panoramic videos. The data and speech recording systems from VOXTRONIC are future-focussed and thus a safe investment over the long term.
The recorded emergency calls are stored by a central SQL database, as is any other desired information, regardless of whether it is analogue radio or TETRA, dynamic group calls, audio signals (e.g. microphone) or data telegrams (such as FSK/FMS/selective call). The latter, incidentally, are automatically recognised as such and evaluated. Thanks to the deployment-specific referencing system, everything that belongs together stays together. This ensures that an event reconstruction can later be produced, in time with the screen displays, accurate to the millisecond. The chain of evidence is linked so that it is gap-free and is suitable for court use.
All recordings can be conveniently accessed not only via the web, but also from virtually anywhere, providing the user has the appropriate authorisation. Voxflow management provides the intuitive interface via which audio documents can be managed and described, and linked to additional data. Retrieval of communications is performed in seconds using the flexible filter and search function. With this function you can search, for example, by deployment number or call-out number, by the time, duration, or even just for documents in a particular category. Using the keyword-spotting module it is even possible to search through a large number of conversations automatically to find particular forms of words. The documents found can be exported with just a few clicks of the mouse or sent direct via e-mail to authorised colleagues, investigation authorities or even the public prosecutor’s office.
The Instant Recall Function offers the fastest route to the most recent conversation. At the press of a button you can listen to recordings again and again until everything has been understood in situations where to make enquiries would be no longer possible or would be time-intensive. Even the live recording of ongoing conversations is supported. The utility of the existing telecommunications equipment is thus increased, the controller doesn't waste time pursuing unimportant matters, and productivity is increased.
The police have been using our speech-recording systems for some time for its training of controllers, because precise and successful communication is a skill that can be learned. Conversations that have been conducted excellently can therefore be added to a sample recordings library and jointly analysed with employees. Recently recordings have also been used in realistic training of mobile units. Fast and clear information can after all mean the difference between life and death. On the streets, in emergency vehicles, inside buildings, the netbox mobile recording system ensures reliable, multi-channel speech documentation (e.g. at major demonstrations or sports events). Mobile systems possess touch-screen controls that are simple to operate even in stressful situations, and function in combination with the stationary, freely scalable voxlog professional. All systems can be contacted as a virtual unit.
With
voxAlert, VOXTRONIC is able to provide the police with web-based,
readily available alarm-servers which can also be connected up to a large number of alarm and fire-protection systems. As well as event-controlled triggering, it is of course also possible to notify or raise the alarm by simply pressing a switch or clicking on the mouse. In the shortest space of time hundreds of people or groups can be contacted via, for example, telephone, SMS, e-mail or even radio. And the
acknowledgement function? In exact accordance with your requirements, all events and values are reliably logged and – like the communications themselves – archived over the long term.
